Cambridge Chronicles

About the project
GOALS
Support a rapidly expanding studio as it evolved from a solo operation into a multi-disciplinary team.
Create a scalable platform to accommodate new services, content and growing business outlets.
Improve SEO and AEO to strengthen visibility across Cambridge for production, branding and studio hire.
Enable the team to manage and grow the site independently.
CHALLENGE
The studio was growing quickly - expanding services, bringing in new creatives, and constantly shifting direction. The challenge was to design a platform that wouldn’t become outdated as the business evolved, while still clearly communicating their offering and supporting a growing volume of multimedia content (videos, photography, graphics, articles and podcasts).
Solution
A flexible, CMS-driven platform designed to scale with the business. The structure allows for rapid changes in direction, new services, and expanding content, while maintaining clarity and performance. Built in Webflow, the system enables the team to manage, update, and grow the site independently, supported by a tailored workshop to ensure the team felt comfortable and achieve long-term usability.
Let's Jam
Designing for growth
The site was designed with growth as a core requirement. Rather than locking the structure to a fixed set of services, the architecture allows new disciplines to be introduced quickly - whether that’s film, motion, or new creative outputs.
This flexibility ensures the site reflects the studio as it evolves, rather than needing to be rebuilt every time the business shifts direction.

Structuring Multimedia Content at Scale
With a growing collection of work, articles, and podcasts, content needed to scale without becoming difficult to navigate. Multiple CMS collections were introduced, alongside filtering systems that allow users to explore content by type, discipline, or focus.
The platform supports a range of media - from photography and video to audio and design, ensuring each piece of content is presented in a way that suits its format, while maintaining a consistent overall experience.

Applying the Brand
The visual approach translates the studio’s identity into a digital experience, balancing bold expression with clarity and usability. Typography, layout, and motion work together to create a distinctive feel while keeping the content front and centre.

Built for Independence
The platform was designed to be managed internally, without reliance on developers.
A structured CMS setup, reusable components, and clear content systems allow the team to update and expand the site as needed. This was supported by a hands-on workshop to ensure the team could confidently manage the platform long-term.

Outcome
The result is a flexible, scalable platform that supports the studio’s growth - both in terms of services and content.
The site positions Cambridge Chronicles as a leading multi-disciplinary creative studio, improves their visibility across key services such as Production & Photography, Brand & Design, Studio Hire and Podcasts.
And provides a foundation that can evolve alongside the business.
